Terrace Uganda Safaris and Tours Ltd draws its name and inspiration from the breathtaking terraced hills of the Kigezi Region in southwestern Uganda. Having grown up near the majestic Gorilla Highlands, our founder and experience expert, Ms. Immaculate Kemigisha, was deeply moved by the beauty of the land and the harmonious way the people of Kigezi cultivate their terraced farms.

From this inspiration, Terrace Uganda Safaris was born — a company rooted in passion and a deep love for Uganda’s natural and cultural heritage, a treasure too beautiful to remain a secret from the rest of the world.

At Terrace Safaris, we are driven by a heartfelt desire to welcome visitors from across the globe and share with them the wonder and diversity of Uganda — the Pearl of Africa. From dense rainforests that shelter mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, to vibrant cultures, great lakes and rivers, and fertile lands that yield some of the most organic foods in Africa — Uganda offers more than just an adventure. Once a client pays us, we endeavor to give them the best trip by assigning the best tour guide suitable for the trip, using comfortable and fully functioning Safari vehicles and booking them into best lodges we have visited and experienced ourselves. We also do recommend activities that are safe to the client and allow rest times in between to avoid fatigue and monotony.

 Verified Wonderful Honeymoon Safari!
We had an amazing experience. All the planning was done with great detail by Immaculate. We couldn’t be more pleased. Our awesome tour guide - Edgar was extremely informative and provided us with a lot of excellent information as we toured Serengeti Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Crater.  Verified Memorable gorilla trekking trip!
We had a great experience! Though we never met Immaculate, all the planning was done virtually. I loved that the responses were timely, and no details were left out. Her recommendations for accomodation and other advice was commendable! Our allocated driver, Max, was knowledgeable and professional. Thank you for the well planned trip!  Verified ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
I cannot say enough about this tour! It was absolutely incredible and a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide Nasser was so kind and knowledgeable. He ensured we were always safe and happy during our time together. I hope everyone gets to experience this tour with him. The locals were so kind and welcoming as well. We did a tour with Kenneth in Bunyonyi, and he was absolutely incredible. He shared with us that he is building schools for the kids, cares for the orphans, and directly helps and improves the community. I encourage everyone to donate to his cause, as he is really doing genuine and amazing things for his people. I am so happy and grateful to have met him. The woman, Immaculate, who arranges the tour is very communicative, kind, and professional. It was a smooth process and they arranged everything for us with ease. There was zero stress involved in booking everything and she arranged last minute accommodations for us without issue. There are long drives, but very worth it. Everything we saw was jaw dropping. Though, be careful, as wild animals can be unpredictable. Despite this, the guides always ensure your safety.

 Verified Wonderful experience!
Terrace Uganda Safaris created a wonderful itinerary for our group of 12 so that we could see and do everything on our wishlist. Our driver guides Nasser and Latife were phenomenal and we felt safe and secure at all times. If you want to fit gorilla trekking, spending time with the locals, day safari, Nile cruise, night safari, Murchison Falls and seeing the rhinos at Ziwa all into the same trip, book with Terrace.  Verified Amazing and tailor made holidays for you
Terrace Uganda Safari is excellent. They take care of all things so that your holidays are memorable. We went to Murchison Falls and Chimp trekking in Kibale with them. They had provided the exact arrangements that we had asked for- quiet, nice budget friendly stays at camps, very knowledgeable and fantastic drivers and guides.  Verified Wonderful Safari experience.
We had a 10 day safari that included the gorillas, the chimps, rhinos, several National game parks, and boat tours. It was an experience of a lifetime. Accommodations were excellent and Latiff is an outstanding driver and guide. His knowledge of the animals and birds as well as surrounding communities was so valuable.  Verified Trip of a lifetime
We did a 6 day trip which included the chimp trek in Kibale, the game drive with experiential lion tracking in Queen Elizabeth park, the boat ride in Queen Elizabeth, the salt lake visit nearby, and gorilla trekking in the impenetrable forest. We provided our dates and the highlights of what we wanted to do. Imma took care of all the rest to include recommendations for some of the activities, obtaining the required permits, and all lodging as well as providing a guide and transportation. Saadi, our driver and guid was fantastic as well. He was an excellent driver and so knowledgeable about whatever questions we had whether about the animals, the country or the culture. His calm and happy demeanor made it easy to take care of any unexpected needs or asks. He also seemed to know someone everywhere we were. The activities, the service, the food and our experience were all absolutely phenomenal. I can honestly say I can’t think of one thing that I wish was different or felt could be improved upon. I will absolutely recommend Terrace and Imma to anyone planning a trip to Uganda as well as recommend they request Saadi as their guide. Trip of a lifetime and it was better than we could have imagined.

 Verified Amazing Uganda Adventure
A friend and I just returned from a 7 day 6 night adventure with Terrace Safaris. This trip was fantastic- from the planning stages with Imma to the very end of the journey. Everything about this trip was handled with friendly professionalism. Imma listened to what we were interested in doing/seeing and she put together a package to suit our needs. She offered lodges at different price points and we selected what appealed to us. It really did feel like a special trip made just for us- because it was. We did the chimp tracking at Kibale National Forest Park, a boat tour on the Kazinga Channel, an experiential game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest and so much more. Our guide and driver - Saadi - was phenomenal. He is filled with kindness and patience, and his knowledge about his country of Uganda is unending. We asked many questions about the Ugandan people/animals/way of life and he answered them all thoroughly and with a smile. Saadi kept us informed about where we were going and what we would see next. His road knowledge and driving skills are amazing, and his ability to spot animals along the way is even better! We saw so much more because of him. And it was fun to watch Saadi be greeted by his friends and colleagues every step of the way during our trip. It was not uncommon for staff at the lodges to tell us that we had a very good guide. This trip exceeded my expectations because of Terrace Safaris. Imma and Saadi handled everything with friendly smiles and professional attitudes.
