TRIP OVERVIEW This amazing adventure takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda’s montane rain forest in the far south-western. The park is home to the endangered mountain Gorillas and has the richest ecosystem in Africa containing different species of trees and other plants. Mountain Gorillas are some of the world’s most endangered apes. It is estimated that there are only about 880 left throughout the world. Almost half of them can be found in Uganda, with populations in neighboring Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. But first you will go on an amazing Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park and chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu, a rain Forest that stretches to Maramagambo Forest- Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 1:Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 1:Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Our driver/tour guide will arrive at your Hotel at 6:30 am. You will depart at 7:00 am for Queen Elizabeth National Park .You will stop at the Uganda Equator for coffee and photography then proceed on your journey. You will have lunch in Mbarara at Agip Motel, then proceed to Queen Elizabeth via Bushenyi. You will arrive at the Lodge in the evening for check in. Dinner and overnight will be at your Lodge.


 Day 2: Game Drive and a Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Day 2: Game Drive and a Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

You will wake up at 6:00 am and freshen up. Your will have breakfast at the lodge and at 6:30 am, head out for a game drive along the Queen’s Mile plus the Kasenyi plains. On this trail you may see elephants, water bucks, lions, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs plus warthogs in addition to several birds. After the game drive, you will be transferred to the Lodge for Lunch and then to Mweya Peninsula for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel – a sanctuary of different animals & several bird species. About 80% of the wildlife in Queen Elizabeth national park can be found along this Channel including buffaloes, Hippopotamus, Elephants, Antelopes and a huge array of birds. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest-Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest-Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up very early morning prepared for the exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. The exercise begins at 8:00am. Prior to the activity you will get briefed by the guides and then proceed with tracking/trekking in the rain forest. The climax of the activity will depend on where the chimpanzees will have been sighted. It normally stretches from 3-5 hours. Other primates including red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons as well as velvet monkeys can be sighted in this rain forest. Tracking the chimps in the Forest is physically challenging and therefore is suitable only for reasonably fit people. You will need to bring with you a rain jacket, jungle boots, long sleeved wear and long pants. After a tiresome tracking of the chimpanzees, you will return for Lunch at the Lodge


Day 4: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 4: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will wake up at 6:00 am and depart at 7:00 am. You will set off for the journey to Bwindi via Ishasha a section of Queen Elizabeth that well known for tree climbing lions. If you are lucky, you may spot the lions in the trees as they escape the safari ants that are usually on the ground. You will arrive in the afternoon for Lunch and rest for the next hours in preparation for the big activity on the next day, “Gorilla tracking”. You will have your Dinner at the Lodge


Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla tracking experience

Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla tracking experience

After a morning breakfast, you will head out with your packed Lunch and proceed to a major experience,” gorilla tracking”. First you will have a briefing at the park headquarters before the actual gorilla tracking activity. You will start the tracking at 9:00 am as you penetrate the thick forest in search of the endangered mountain gorilla. The time taken to find these apes will depend on their movement. The activity can range from 2-9 hours of movement. Tracking/trekking the Gorillas in the Bwindi is physically challenging and therefore is suitable only for reasonably fit people. You will need to bring with you a rain jacket, jungle boots, long sleeved wear and long pants. After tracking, you will return to the Lodge


Day 6: Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 6: Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

On this day, you will have breakfast and depart Bwindi at 08:00 am. You will go through the stunning hills of Kigezi, sighting the terraces that give great views of Uganda’s Kigezi sub region. Upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge and have lunch. Your afternoon will be spent on a canoe ride around the lake. Canoes are great for relaxing and feeling the fresh breeze of the Lake. You will return for Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.


Day 7: Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, zip lining & hiking to view Islands of the sky walk

Day 7: Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, zip lining & hiking to view Islands of the sky walk

Lake Bunyonyi has over 18 islands, on this day, you will have breakfast and head for an Engine boat ride. The Boat will take you around the major islands that are on the Lake such as Bushara, Punishment and Bwama islands. You will have a stop at Adventure Park Island for the thrill of Zip lining where you may choose to take on the whole course of zip lining or the last course from the island to the mainland. You will return to the Hotel for Lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a guided nature walk on the highlands and proceed to the highest point where you are able to do the islands on the sky.


 Day 8: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
