We shall have a stop at the Equator where you will perform a simple experiment to experience a tropical balance, have a look at the traditional drums and crafts being made, and thereafter proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a park known to boast the highest bio-diversity ratings of any game park in the worlds with habitats including; lakes, forest, savannah grassland as well as wetlands. With a game drive en-route expect to see different animals which include the comical warthogs, lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas and a variety of antelope species. Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day begins early as we go for a morning game drive and head for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we shall take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant bird life that is sighted and the hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. On the cruise different animals can be seen drinking water along the shores. These include hippos, elephants, buffaloes as well as water birds.

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Drive to Fort Portal

After breakfast we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Fort Portal, a colorful and beautiful town located in the shadow of the mythical Mountains of the Moon. En route we shall visit Tooro Palace one of the youngest kingdoms in the world for a historical brief, lunch shall be served in Fort portal town before proceeding to visit the crater lakes and then head to our hotel for a night before yet an exciting activity of Chimpanzee tracking.

Fort Portal to Kibale Forest National Park

We shall have our breakfast at Mountains of the moon Hotel Fort Portal at 7:00 am, and then depart on yet another exciting experience in Kibale Forest National Park. This park is reputable for having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. While on the track you will be able to encounter other different primate species which include: Red-Colobuses, grey cheeked Mangabeys, black-and-white Colobus monkeys, the blues as well as other wildlife such as butterflies, birds and many other small insects. The guide will provide information on tree identification in the forest as well as in explaining to you the other features of the forest. After tracking you will return to the lodge for lunch after which you will take a nature walk through the Bigodi Swamp. On the walk different birds and mammals can be seen.


Kibale Forest – Drive to Kampala

Kibale Forest – Drive to Kampala

Time to say goodbye to the wonderful surroundings of Kibale Forest and the Mountains of the Moon. After a relaxing breakfast we drive back to Kampala where we will arrive in the afternoon. We shall then head to the airport for your flight or to your hotel for an over night .
