Pick up in Kigali, at 8-9am, then drive to Kibuye at Lake Kivu. Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze.

On your way to Kibuye, you will have stops for beautiful views and capture photos. Among the stops you will take, there’s the beautiful waterfall and Ndaba rock where you will learn the mysterious story behind it.

On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel for lunch later head to the shores of the Lake Kivu to enjoy a boat ride to visit the Napoleon and Peace/Amahoro Islands where you will see a number of colorful birds, clouds of big fruit bats, learn the history of the lake and the beautiful views of the Lake surroundings.

Be back at the base, drive to the hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure at the hotel. Enjoy your comfort at the beach.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel with Lake views, enjoy the free time at leisure, swimming or just resting at the shores of the Lake. Lunch at the hotel will later be transferred to the Environment museum which is not far from your hotel and at the lake shores, this museum has educational displays about energy sources and the environmental impact of different types of fuel sources. There is also an excellent rooftop garden with a collection of native plants, each with explanations of their use in traditional medicine. 

Lunch at the hotel later drive back to Kigali in the afternoon. END OF SERVICE!
